配合蘇花公路的修復工程進度，樂斯科公司公告6月起恢復正常動物運輸作業。

本中心預計在2024年6月3至5日(周一至周三下午2點到4點30)進行實驗動物健康監測，屆時將會占用到屍解房(F511)空間及設備，各位若需使用屍解房，請盡量避開此時段，謝謝您的合作。

若未來動物實驗計畫有需要捕捉動物，禁止使用獸鋏。

依「動物保護法」第14之1條第1項第6款規定略以:「捕捉動物，不得使用獸鋏」、第14之2條規定：「非經中央主管機關許可，任何人不得製造、販賣、陳列或輸出入獸鋏」，另第30條第1項第7、8款規定略以：「有違反第14條之1第1項規定，使用禁止之方法捕捉動物；違反第14條之2規定，未經中央主管機關許可，製造、販賣、陳列或輸出入獸鋏。處新臺幣（下同）1萬5,000元以上7萬5,000元以下罰鍰」。

各位研究人員：

在實驗操作或手術的過程中為了減輕實驗動物的疼痛不適，我們都知道必須給予止痛或麻醉。
但是大家一定很苦惱，到底要選擇哪種的止痛劑或麻醉藥才是最適合我的動物呢?
心中的OS可能滿天飛：
我的動物需要使用止痛劑嗎?
不想6小時打一次止痛劑，有好用的長效型的嗎?
我的麻醉藥有沒有止痛效果?
為何我的動物麻不倒?
要使用氣體麻醉劑還是注射型麻醉劑呢?

自備鞋的選擇應符合三項要求：

1. 包頭 → 不露出腳趾。
2. 耐熱 → 需耐80℃熱水清洗。
3. 姓名 → 請於鞋上標示正確姓名，勿標示實驗室房號、英文縮寫。

• 即日起請各使用者將不合規定之鞋款改善，113年2月1日本中心會將不合規定的鞋款全數下架，代為保管至113年2月29日，在此期限內若未領回，本中心將之認定為無主物品代為丟棄。
• 本中心將自113年2月起，於每週五上午定期清洗使用者的自備鞋。

Regarding the choice of bringing your own shoes, there are three requirements to pay attention to:

1. Baotou → Do not expose your toes.

2. Heat resistance → Need to withstand 80℃ hot water cleaning.

3. Name → Please mark the correct name on the shoes. Please do not mark the laboratory room number or English name abbreviation(Except for foreigners).

• From now on, all users are requested to improve the non-compliant shoes. On February 1, 2024, the center will remove all non-compliant shoes from the shelves and keep them until February 29, 2024. If the item is not collected within this period, the Center will consider it as an unowned item and discard it on your behalf.

Starting from February 2024, the Laboratory Animal Center will regularly clean the shoes prepared by users every Friday morning.

本中心目前非SPF等級飼育室(603、617、618、619、621及646室) ，經長年動物監測結果，皆帶有 SPF列管的病原且檢出率高。經與獸醫師討論後，建議採用半屏蔽系統的二級清潔動物*的飼養方式：仍使用 Biozone IVC (可有效隔離避免籠間汙染) 及laminar flow (可降低病原於動物房內散佈風險) 進行動物飼養及實驗操作，惟不使用滅菌的籠具。

自113年1月1日起執行措施如下
1.不使用滅菌的籠具(含墊料)進行飼養。
2.動物照養及操作仍維持在laminar flow中進行，以維持飼育室內的潔淨。
3.滅菌飼料仍持續提供至113年6月底，以避免影響目前執行中的實驗。若須延長期限，到時請與動物中心提出需求。

*二級清潔動物：除普通級動物應排除的病原外，不攜帶對動物危害大和對科學研究干擾大的病原。來源於SPF動物或剖腹產動物，一般飼養於半屏障系統。

Non SPF grade breeding rooms of LAC include Rooms 603, 617, 618, 619, 621 and 646. According to long-term animal monitoring results, the animals contain SPF-listed pathogens and the detection rate is high. After discussion with the veterinarian, it is recommended to adopt a semi-shielded system for secondary clean degree of animals*. LAC use Biozone IVC machines (which can effectively isolate and avoid contamination between cages) and laminar flow (which can reduce the risk of pathogens spreading in the animal room) still. But animal rearing and experimental operations will not use sterilized cages.

The following measures will be implemented from January 1, 2024

1. Do not use sterilized cages (including bedding) for breeding.
2. Animal care and operation are still carried out in laminar flow to maintain cleanliness in the breeding room.
3. Sterilized feed will continue to be provided until the end of June 2024 to avoid affecting the performing experiments. If the deadline needs to be extended, please inform the animal center at that time.

*Level 2 clean animals:
They do not carry pathogens that are harmful to animals and interfere with scientific research except for the pathogens that should be eliminated by ordinary-level animals. They generally are reared in semi-barrier systems, which are derived from SPF animals or caesarean section animals.

本中心基於動物實驗盡可能於動物設施內執行以維持動物飼養品質，及降低病原自外部攜入的風險以維護本中心環境潔淨等原則。自113年1月1日起禁止各實驗室的推車進入本中心。(若有特殊需求，須經本中心同仁同意後才可進入。)請研究人員盡早評估因應策略。

施行措施如下：
1.五樓奈米實驗室前方空地供實驗室放置個人推車。
2.門禁系統入口Air lock放置兩台推車供本中心內部使用。

LAC is based on the principles of conducting animal experiments in animal facilities as much as possible to maintain the quality of animal breeding, and to reduce the risk of pathogens being brought in from outside to maintain a clean environment in the center. Starting from January 1, 2024, laboratorial handcarts are prohibited from entering the center. (If you have special needs, you must obtain permission from LAC members before entering.) Researchers are requested to evaluate response strategies as soon as possible.

The implementation measures are as follows:

1. There is an open space in front of the Nano Laboratory on the fifth floor for the laboratory to place personal handcarts.
2. Two handcarts are placed in the Air lock at the entrance of the access control system for internal use.
